Heart Loops

Heart Loops

This initiative is national across all Carrefour stores and runs from late April to early June. Customers can round up their bill at the checkout or make a donation to the chosen association.
The association can also have a stand, as we did, to provide information and sell crepes to boost the fundraising pot. Thanks to our efforts with Brigitte and Denis, we were able to raise €8,714.49! This is an idea for members throughout France.

For 7 years, Carrefour has mobilized its employees, including AMMi, and its customers around major solidarity projects for associations dedicated to supporting children in need. The Heart Loops initiative annually supports over 300 local associations sponsored by our stores, as well as one national association.

This year, we had opted for an online vote to highlight the work of a greater number of associations daily involved with children in need. To our deep regret, we were compelled to cancel this online vote due to observed fraud attempts.

We have selected the Foundation for Medical Research as a partner for this 8th edition. For 70 years, the FRM’s mission has been to advance research across all medical disciplines, for the benefit of everyone. The selection criteria for research projects are based on their excellence, the potential for medical progress they offer, and the scientific quality of the researchers involved. Donations collected through the Heart Loops will be specifically allocated to pediatric research in the fields of neurogenetic diseases, neurodevelopmental disorders, and childhood cancers.

Many of you have rallied around the causes you champion. These are of paramount importance for children, and we are fully aware of the disappointment that the cancellation of this online vote may have caused. By choosing the Foundation for Medical Research, we aim to provide the closest possible support to the cause of childhood. We are confident that the research programs conducted within this framework will embody our shared commitment to advance this cause.
